Newspaper Magazine Distribution Permit

Media Content Services : Newspapers and Magazines Distribution Permit

A service provided to licensed companies to obtain a license to distribute a newspaper or magazine and is concerned with following up the media content on newspapers and magazines issued from inside the UAE and imported from outside the country with all their periodicals and various topics and ensuring its conformity with the principles and standards of media content, with the aim of approving its circulation and distribution within the UAE for the first time in order to meet the needs of all distribution companies - publishing houses - newspapers and magazines outside the Free Zone.

Requirements
  • Copy of the magazine or newspaper, authorization letter from the company, copy of the license of the magazine or newspaper, copy of the commercial license issued by the media free zones, media license
E-Service Procedures
  • Login through the e-services system
  • Choosing the required service
  • Fill in all the data and documents
  • Submit the application
  • Review the status of the application (approval or rejection)
  • Approval and payment of fees
Terms & Conditions
  • The customer must provide a valid commercial license that includes the activity of importation, along with a valid media license that includes media activities related to importing and licensing the sale of newspapers and magazines.
  • A copy of the media license for the magazine or newspaper must be provided.
  • An authorization letter from the publishing company to the commercial establishment, approving the distribution of newspapers and magazines within the country, must be provided.
  • A copy of the publication (newspaper or magazine) must be provided.
  • The customer must pay the service fees within 21 working days. If payment is not made within the specified period, the application will be canceled, and the customer must submit a new application.
  • The customer must submit a copy of the publication (newspaper or magazine) within 5 working days. If it is not submitted within the specified period, the application will be canceled, and the customer must submit a new application.
  • The publication (newspaper or magazine) may not be distributed until periodic clearance approval is obtained from the National Media Authority according to its issuance cycle. If the customer distributes the publication before obtaining such approval, they will be subject to legal accountability and penalties. The customer undertakes that all entered data is accurate and correct, and that the attached required documents related to the service are valid, effective, and up to date, and bears full responsibility for this.
  • The customer must comply with media content standards.
  • The customer must comply with any amendments and remarks issued by the National Media Authority related to the content of the attached publication (newspaper or magazine).
